Excited to share our latest integrated multi-omics work on cytokinin forms - "trans-Zeatin N-glucosides Can Delay Salt Accelerated Leaf Senescence in Arabidopsis thaliana" published in Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. 🪴 🧬
We performed temporal analysis of leaf senescence progression under salt-accelerated and identified physiology, transcriptome, proteome, and CK profile differences by salt in leaves. This work demonstrates activity of cytokinin forms (tZ and tZNGs) towards maintaining photosynthesis parameters under salt senescence. We identified that tZNGs regulate CK-signaling & senescence through unique action and tZ activity. Further, tZNG and tZ differentially alter endogenous CK forms and protein abundance.
